Harbor Club

Proudly  Announces
Our  New
“Layoff Protection”
Lease

If you involuntarily lose your job, Harbor Club Apartments will allow you to stay in your apartment, up to 60 days rent free. If you don’t find a new job by the end of that time, you may cancel your lease without penalty*.

Here’s how it works:
If a Leaseholder (s) is laid off or involuntarily “downsized”1
, the
tenant must notify
the property manager and provide appropriate
 documentation2
.

Upon verification of unemployment, rent abatement will begin on the 1st. day of
the following month.

Tenant must have made at least three consecutive monthly rent payments and not
be in any default / breach of the lease agreement.
Program is available to qualified Leaseholders3
who sign a minimum 1 year lease
agreement and execute a “layoff protection”
Lease addendum.

Tenant is obligated to immediately notify Harbor Club Apts. upon finding a new job, and resume paying rent.

* Damage charges beyond the limit of  any security deposit excepted.
1 Termination for cause, voluntary quit / resign, end completing a temporary work assignment, or entering retirement
   does not qualify
.
2  Written notice of layoff or termination for lack of work (downsizing) on employers letterhead and copy of
     application for unemployment.
3  Other non-leaseholder occupants or residents living in the apartment, will not qualify for this program
